Mario Video Poker is an online poker game with a theme based on the popular Nintendo gaming icon Super Mario. The design is made up by characters from the Super Mario game series, with a Mario themed background, sound track, and even the cards are carrying the custom Mario theme, showing images of Mario, his brother Luigi, Princess Peach and Bowser the villain from Mushroom land.
The game itself is 5 card stud and can only be played in single player mode against the computer.
At the start you have to place a bet with a maximum of 1000 credits. Then the game begins, and your first hand is dealt. At that point you can discard the ones you don’t want and those get replaced. Whatever hand you hold at that point, will determine your winnings, or in case you hold nothing your losses.
Mario Video Poker is a funny game, with an original theme, yet quite simplified in comparison with true poker games as they are played at online casinos. This game would be well suited for beginners, especially with the overview of all winning combinations, which is visible on screen at all times.
Advanced players would not be challenged by Mario Video Poker, and would do well to find a more sophisticated version of the online poker game.
